SALMON STEAK


Saya nih konon2nya berdiet, so, I whipped this for my early dinner today, nothing fancy for the salmon's marinate, cuma salt and pepper, before grillin it till done, skin too crispy tho this time. And guna demi-glazed sauce serbuk from knorr and sauteed some fresh button mushroom, bukak a tin of carrot and pea and blanched some french bean.. wallah, i hope this is a diet meal.. hopefully low calorie and hi protein and hi fibre..:)..oh, lupa, definately some chillie sauce, is there calorie hidden in them?.. hahahaha, typical malaysian I am..:)

Nasi Ambang


Saya memang suka sangat makan nasi ambang, tapi cuma yang sedap le.. tadi pi pasar malam tmn andalas, and i sampled one, mm, nak kata sedap sangat, tidak pun, tpi boleh le..boleh le sebab bahannya cukup meriah and sesuai dipanggil nasi ambang compare to people yg kata dia jual nasi ambang tapi lauknya cuma 3, tak patut tau, nasik ambang punya lauk kena sangat banyak, hehe, mencapai 5 ke atas, sekian terima kasih.:)

LOVE OF MY LIFE



Kat atas tuh gambar saya dan hubby kat Stesen Bas Pudu masa bercinta. Masa nih saya nak balik kampung and dia pun teman dan hantar, sampai pintu bas ajelah tapi..

I know how cliche it is for a wife to declare her love to her hubby, but seriously, aku nak gak cerita di sini, hehe..so, sapa yg tak minat citer romantikus di ammo or jiwang2 karat nih, skip ajelah dari baca yek, tiada paksaan disini..

Hubby saya nih baik sangat, begitu caring. Masa kitorang dating years, dia le tukang supply pad untuk saya kalau period every month, siap pi belikan lagi(and he insist on 'whisper'). Mungkin ada yang pikir apa ke karut aktiviti mamat nih, hehe, tpi saya rasa sungguh baik, sebab aku rasa mamat lain sure rasa geleman je nak pi beli kat kedai mamak kat section 6, shah alam tuh, kalau dah kawin pun belum tentu nak belikan binik dia, betul tak?.. kalau saya kena period pain lak, dia la yg menggelepar belikan saya panadol kaler pink tuh, kengkadang kalau saya balik kampung lepak masa cuti, the stock of the panadol comes with his letter, aa, sweet sungguh..:).

Dulu hubby saya masa dating suka sketch gambo saya.. kengkadang gambo yg saya rasa tak brapa lawa.. but i guess people see beauty at different angle, (tpi skang bila saya amik gambo dia terjelir lidah and jadikkan gambo tuh ID caller dia, tau lak marah, hahaha, but i think that's his essence yg only me can see, apa2ntah tak kasik gitew)..

hubby saya kongsi minat makan mende sedap sama seperti saya, masa memula lepas kawin, gaji dia kitorang bantai abih makan kedai yg gempaq2 aje.. masa tuh mana ada tonggengjawab, so, sukati kitorang ajelah, hehe, tpi skarang, kalau saya mampu masakkan, saya akan cuba sedaya upaya supaya craving kitorang berjaya dicapai.

suami saya ada wavelength yg tak terkatanya sama dgn saya, saya nih sukar difahami, itu sebab kengkadang saya malas nak carik kawan.. or nak rapat ngan people.. but dgn hubby, i can see really far where things gonna be..kalau dia restless ke, or risau or ada things bugging him, I'm sure to sense isi hati dia.. kengkadang it scared me, but seriously..

baru2 nih bila kitorang krisis pun, kitorang akhirnya dapat menyelesaikan krisis itu, rasa happy sangat bila mengenangkan ada orang yg lalui thick and thin together in life nih..:)

ini semua benda yang fana, hehe, hal2 kebatinan tak yah le citer ye.. let just say, i'm satisfied with all.. hahahahahaha

untuk hubby, saya hormat, sayang, cinta banget kat awak.. saya bersyukur in my lifetime i get to meet u and share a wonderfull life..

CURRY MEE


Ya puan-puan semua, hari ini saya dah masak mee curry, saya memang suka mee kari, tapi kalau terkena yang banyak kari dan berminyak, memang saya frust giler, saya sangat suka makan mee kari dekat mark's assam laksa, OU, tapi itu cerita 3, 4 tahun lepas, saya berenti makan di situ sebab takde tanda halal, hehe, tpi kira dah berpuluh mangkuk la gak aku dah makan situ baru prasan.. errr, my ignorence..sila jgn ikut mcm saya.. saya juga suka makan mee kari di kiwi's, pada saya rasa mee karinya sgt sedap, banyak sayur dan enak banget, tpi pernah makan skali aje, sebab saya anti tempat makan yg harga airnya sama dgn harga makanan, ampeh, sungguh tak patut..kluar topic lagi..

Tapi skarang saya dah jumpa resepi mee kari yang sesuai dgn citarasa saya, so, tak payah le rasa frust bilamana mengidam nak makan mee kari, hehe, saya dapat resepi ini dari column Faridah Begum di The Star newspaper, fortnightly, Sunday only je, saya dah jadi mengumpul agak setia koleksi resepinya, saya cukup tak suka kumpul resepi yang tak works, frust, but that besides the topic..:)

Kata Faridah ni, laki dia cukup fickle dalam memilih mee kari, tapi dia thumbs up sangat2 dgn mee kari bini dia, dlm kes saya lak, saya sendiri fickle bout my mee kari, saya pun bagi 3 thumbs up(kalau boleh le), pada resepi minah nih, di bawah adalah resepinya ye pada siapa yang nak mencuba..

Curry Mee
Blend together
8 shallots(bawang merah)
3 cloves garlic
2 stalks lemongrass
1cm fresh tumeric
12 dried chillies

1 bowl cooking oil
salt to taste
2tbsp curry powder
200ml thick coconut milk
300ml second coconut milk
tauhu pok
300g prwans, chicken or even fish
a rice bowl of fish ball and fish cakes
noodles of yer choice-blanched
bean sprouts-blanched
spring onion-sliced finely

Method
Heat up the bowl of oil in a large pot and pour in the blended ingredients when the oil is hot. Add the curry powder, salt and let it simmer until the oil resurfaces again.

Add the coconut milk-both thick and second milk- and let the gravy cook until it simmers.

Add the prawns, chicken or fish or all three if you like and the other ingredients.

Once the prawns are cooked, take the gravy off the fire and ladle it over the yellow noodles or the rice noodles or even rice vermicelli, bean sprouts and sprinkle it with spring onions before tucking in.
(for more variety, add boiled quails eggs or even slice boiled egg to complement the rich and satisfying meal.)

ini saya salin sebijon bijon from the resepi I kept, hehe, so try if you want 1 bowl of hot piping satisfying mee curry, yummy..:)

Makanan raya kampung hubby (Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam)

Seperti yang dikata, ari ahad pun hari menipu lagi, menipu bab makan, .. so, ini permintaan hubby when i asked him what would he have on the cheat day?.. MAKANAN RAYAAAA.. boleh sayang, asal u teman i makan mende simple 5 ari sminggu, hehe..

Saya orang Johor sejati. Darah, peluh suma2 lah, memang johor pior.. memula kawin tuh bila raya kat kampung hubby, belajar makan banyak makanan baru.. so, sapa yang dah tau pasal makanan nih suma, bare with me, orang johor sejati yang would love to celebrate other negri food as long it's sodap.. no hal.. hehe..

maka pepagi ari ahad, dah le masak ketupat and lemang segera dulu, makcik tak pandai de nak mengayam ketupat walau ayahanda try mengajo, tangan tak seni agaknya, so the menu adalah Ayam Masak Kuning Rempah dan Sambal Goreng

nak recipe kengkawan?..sila tengok dibawah..:)





Ayam Masak Kuning Rempah
1 ekor ayam
4 sudu besar ketumbar
1 sudu kecil jintan manis
1 sudu kecil jintan putih
2cm kunyit hidup
bawang merah
bawang putih
halia-dihiris
2 batang serai
asam keping
sedikit belacan
500ml santan pekat
2 biji kentang
garam dan gula
sedikit air

1.Sangai ketumbar dan kedua2 jenis jintan.Bahan sangai tadi ditumbuk bersama bawang merah, bawang putih dan kunyit hidup. Halia dihiris dan serai diketuk.
2.Tumis bahan tumbuk, setelah garing, masukkan halia dan serai, kemudian masukkan sedikit air supaya bahan tumis tidak hangit.
3. Masukkan kentang supaya ia empuk. Biarkan dalam 10minit. Kemudian masukkanlah ayam yang sudah dipotong tadi.
4. Masukkan asam keping dan belacan tadi. Dalam 15 minit, masukkan pula santan, kacau dan perhatikan agar santan tidak pecah. Seasoned dgn garam dan gula hingga sedap ditekak sedari.







Sambal Goreng
bawang merah
bawang putih
udang kecil, untuk rencah
cili merah
1 keping tempe
2 keping tauhu
tahu kering dan su'un (banyak lagi sedap)
2 biji kentang
kacang panjang
kobis, hiris kecil
taugeh, jika suka
kicap
sedikit air asam jawa
garam dan gula

1.Rendam su'un dan tahu kering. Potong tauhu, tempe dan kentang ikut saiz berkenan di hati. Kemudian digoreng. Siang sayur sedari mengikut citarasa.
2. Hiris bawang merah, bawang putih dan cili merah. Panaskan minyak dan tumis bawang merah dan bawang putih. Kemudian masukkan cili merah. Selepas itu masukkan udang rencah tadi. Masukkan sedikit air dan tuangkan air asam tadi(sedikit saje ye tuan puan). Masukkan su'un dan tauhu kering yang telah ditos dan dipotong biar pendek2 dan kecil. Biarkan su'un meresap air tadi. Sekarang bolehlah dimasukkan tauhu, tempe dan kentang yang telah digoreng tadi.
3.Masukkan kobis. Gaul lagi barang seminit. Kemudian bolehlah dimasukkan kacang. Sila letakkan garam dan gula mengikut citarasa. Jangan lupa letakkan kicap, juga mengikut kesukaan masing2.
Akhir sekali, jika gunakan taugeh, masukkan taugeh tadi. Hidang panas2,

My cheat day, wallah

hari nih bergumbira memasak.. seminggu makan beringat, nak umumkan weekends cheating day, hehe, err, esok pun sama, dah ada agenda nak cheat bab makan lagi, but today we talk all 'bout today's makan2.. once in a while, we've got to enjoy the glorious food, hehe, sapa yg nak diet tuh, jgn pedulikan ayat tadi..ayat tdi adalah untuk menusia pelupa seperti aku, hehe.. tpi comes monday, i'll be more vigil 'bout makan..apa entry nih subjek bercampur, mcm ada mesaalah split personality lak.. kwang kwang kwang..:)

saya telah menerai untuk 1st timenye membuat burger ayam.. sebab burger nih burger syok sindri, terlebih lak letak garam, maka masin le dia, tpi oklah, dari beli kat kedai, ntah apo yg diletakkan kat dlm dia.. ke adakah aku menusia kedekut?.. hahahaha..

Pate yang dah di'chill' dlm peti ais, biar dia firm, idak le pecah bila digrill..

disamping itu saya juga telah memasak Pic Clafouti.. mmm, nyummy.. kata aku le.. hehe.. and kata sorang budak kenit nakal kat umah nih yg telah mencungkil semua pic ataih clafouti aku waktu aku ngorok?.. wajarkah?.. tiada pilihan sebab dia dah siap santap..:)

Lazy Simple Chicken Pie

can i talk politics?

hehe, i know.. it would really be a two cent worth.. but just bare with me..

last sunday, my parents-in-law were lepaking at my house.. and early monday we were having breakfast, and the politic talks started, they being baffled that KJ was not holding any ministrial post..(my father-in-law used to be really active in politics in his younger day, and he's a BN back to back, no other party..)

he said, 'mana boleh khairy tak pegang apa2, tak pernah jadi ketua pemuda tak de post..'

and i tried to point out, 'orang tak suka kat dia le pak, lagipun dia menang pemuda bukan majoriti pun, 2/3 of the pemuda tak sokong pun dia..lagipun dlm paper nih tulis zahid masa ketua pemuda pun tak de post'

he said, 'nih semua mesti pasal blog nih, ' :), yaaaa..haha

and today i went and tengok my young makcik punya FB list of friends, (she been saying the person she voted ada dlm dianya friends' list) and nampak and guessed le sapa orangnya (pretty obvious), and i tengok le FB YB tuh, mm, informative and mind provoking.. menarik tuk ditengok dan dibaca..



i guess people like my father-in-law really have no idea the young minds thinking..it's not anymore 'bout tak kenang jasa, tak perjuang kepentingan malays, do-as-we-told-u generation, his era bersungguh nak anak muda yang boleh berpikir for themselves, pi anto blajo tinggi2.. things like that, bilamana younger generation nih suma ada spine to make their own decision, his era people nih sort of freak out lak..

aku?.. aku suka malaysia yg aman, aku tak suka anwar bawak people mengaruk-ngaruk kat jalanan, but aku pun tak suka kerajaan ignorant thinkin everythin is rosy, there's issues that needed to be address, quick.. aku pun tak suka PAS and DAP yg bersifat extreme.. tpi pun tak suka UMNO yg mcm elitis padahal tak..

but seeing young leaders like hannah, izzah and few more, i get what they r fighting for, perhaps..:).. the betterment of malaysia, i just hope they have their own party, because the one they are riding now, well just saying, too many baggages attached, and i'm not about to vote for them just because i disagree with the government, what will make me think the new one would be any better? people like lim kit siang and karpal scares me. and i'm not even a racist. and nik aziz scares me, hahahaha,.. coz i'm a moderate moslim..

like i said, it's a two cent worth, but i still count for one vote afterall..:)

mengapakah new posting tiada lately?

err, i know, lately tiada masakan poyo berlaku kat dapor saya.. because i was pretty much occupied with the other blog.. hehe.. and pretty much the other blog itu clashing interestnya with this one.. hahaha, yaaaaa, i've been controlling my food intake for the past 3 weeks..yes, u can say i'm on diet.. and not about to ditch it... i'm in the phase of changing my lifestyle, and my thinking and my approach to my daily food and cooking. i still love cooking and love food, but tengah adjust to have a win-win situation here, can't help to be worried looking at me berkembang cam roti..hihi..2moro i already have something in store, that i think might work for this blog, see, adjusting is falling into places in my big jigsaw puzzle life?..there will definately be some days that i will reward myself and family and cook something suppa delish err with suppa calorie to boot, hey, everybody deserves a reward, kan.. and life to be enjoyed anyway, takkan nak mkn daun tetiap hari, that will never be a life i wanna live and be remembered for..

so, come tomorrow, i'll heat up my dapoq and oven, we'll see what will come out of it..:).. cheers and yamseng of green tea, hahahaha..

the potato yg sudah berebus, halved, scooped and diletak filling, topped with cheese. isi yg dah discooped tuh letak je lah balik ataih filling. I used prego creamy pasta sauce added with mince chicken, mushroom and onion as a filling.

Nasi Lemak Section 2 Shah Alam

ini pulak nama kedai nasi lemak saya, selama nih tak tau pun nama dia, tau makan aje, hehe


kan mengiurkan rupa paras dia, mana saya tak ditched diet saya...:)

Entry ini nak menunjukkan kepada kengkawan 'kem kuruskan badan' saya betapa menggodanya nasi lemak yang saya lahap tadi, hahaha.. ampun are-t, too tempting.. dah lama tak dapat makan nih, tu le pasal..

Sapa yg lama menetap kat ITM and my other fellow friend aza yg belajar kat AUSMAT sure teringat-ingat kat sec.2 yg kotoq dan busuk tuh, hehe, dah tak dah, berwajah baru sekarang.. tapi masa section 2 nih di rebuild, kedai ni suma tukar ke ujung section 2, in front wet world, so, hari nih masa saya dan hubby dok carik kedai nasik lemak nih, pi le tempat lama, rupanya, diorang dah pindah ke port baru, which is port lama diorang, paham ka? apa2lah labu..

maka tadi dapat le saya menghilangkan rindu dendam saya kepada nasi lemak section 2 dalam suasana baru, tapi mcm lgi sedap lak makan kat kedai lama, walaupun err, kedai lama tak bersih langsung environmentnya.. adakah suasana unhygienic itu melabur pada rasa sedap makanan, hahaha, takkanlah, agaknya nasik lemak dia dah sejuk kot, sebab sambutan kureng bila dah sampai tempat baru, ye lah, org still tercari-cari lagi, dimanakah ekau, so, sapa tak tau, and nak tau, kedainya dah tukar.. have fun finding..

LAMB CHOPS


sila pi pasaq and beli bahan berikut:
500 gm lamb chops, fat trimmed
2tsp chilli powder
juice of 2 limes
1tbsp fish sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed and pureed
1tsp dark soy sauce, for color
1tbsp dark brown sugar



cara memasaknya
Mix up the marinade(suma mende di ataih le gamoknya) and apply on the chops.Leave on for 3 hours at the least. Grill it. Bon appetite pepuan..:)

note - kalau prasan bebahan perapnya so asian. Ini recipe carol selvarajah, a singaporean yang duduk di australia and sungguh glamor disana dalam bidang memasak, err, correct me if i'm wrong, anyway, australian kan ke suka BBQ, dia kata, kalau dia bekalkan anak dia lambs mentah to be grill, ala2 pot luck le, bring yer own meat, lambs anak dia bakal abih dulu dikerojekan, hehe.. saya kompem lamb chops nih sedap, saya always do my lamb chops this way, so, cubalah ye..:)

small sacrifices needed at this time of hardship

saya ngeri sebenarnya bila mengenangkan looming economic uncertainties kerana for one obvious reason alone, my hubby is the sole breadwinner in the family, no plan B, that's for sure. well, as a housewife, what i can do is what i can do best, mm, dengan menurunkan perbelanjaan rumah. Kalau dulu2, normally, we'll go out and makan2 luar. every early month, memang akan sample one kedai yg karut2 sikit, hehe, alaa, kira bukan kedai mamak or kedai thai kelantan le, kira real dining, tpi bukan fine dining juga.. alaa, u guys know what i mean kan.. and tru out the week, tetengah tuh, bilamana rasa bosan menjalar and kemalasan memuncak, makan luar also one of our choices(ini baru kedai mamak or kelantan thai, hehe).

but, this month, and it's been two weeks, saya telah berjaya memastikan keluarga saya makan home cook food every dinner, i also managed to whizz up few breakfast for hubby to bring to work. sesungguhnya bagi sapa yang tak tahu or ignorant, memasak is tiring. kalau tak berkemas or kira lepak satu hari, kena masak aje, kira okay le tuh, but if u have been doing chores all day, nak kena end the day dgn memasak, err, it's just penat. seriously it does. kalau nak masak telur dadar, kira tidak le penat sgt, tpi takkan hari2 telur dadar. tpi sekarang saya buat simpler dinner approach compared to before, kalau dulu, kengkadang rasa nak botak le masak dinner sakan, but now, simpler and healthier, hehe.. cam sup sayur and one protein dish, ikan ke, ayam ke, sotong ke.. u get the picture..

saya berharap saya dapat meneruskan azam baru saya ini berpanjangan, harap anak2 gembira makan air tangan ibunya.. and suami, what's better way to his heart other than his stomach kan..hopefully good deeds labour good things.. and just pray hard the economic will turn prosperous pretty soon.. amin.

kisah saya yang suka mencuba


Saya memang suka cuba resepi baru, makanan baru, bahan memasak baru dan segala yang baru. Kadang-kadang saya pergi jalan-jalan cari makan dan nampak menu makanan baru, terus saya nak cuba. Pernah juga tercuba yang tak sedap, biasalah tu..:)..Gambar yang saya tempel tuh, saya masak dalam 2 tahun lepas, leg of lamb, beli kat pasar tani Shah Alam, masak roasted with rosemary and garlic, recipenya nak kena carik dulu, kat mana le agaknya..




Mungkin ada orang tengok kaki kambing besar macam nih terus takut nak beli apa ntah lagi nak masak.. ala, beli aje, masak aje, :), tak cuba tak tau.. saya punya mission nak cuba masak at least satu bende tuh skali, so, lepas tuh boleh le saya move forward, cuba masakan baru pulak.. hahaha.. saya mmg malas nak cuba resepi 2,3 kali, melainkan sangat sedap or hubby buat request, kesungguhan memasak tuh dah kurang, haha, lagipun saya kalau pi giant, tesco, JJ or pasar tani, saya asyik aimed mende baru je nak cuba, hahaha, itulah kisah saya dan cuba-cuba..

basil chicken, trying to replicate BLACK CANYON'S


ini saya punya, masih dikejauhan rasanya, tapi sodap le yet mmg tak sama..:(


ini BLACK CANYON yg punya, lurve this one..


Semalam saya nak cuba replicate chicken basil Black Canyon. Rasa belum sampai, rasanya saya terlebih sauce and ketchup, suma sauce kat umah saya letak, sauce thai, sos tomato, sos cili, sos tiram and kicap pun saya letak, hehe, so, it's more rasa sweet sour rather the one I sampled at Black Canyon. Saya dapat recipe basic dia kat blog orang lain.. small family, big appetite.. tapi saya nak lebih kuah, itulah pasal saya letak semua sos, hahaha.. tapi sodap, cumanya saya naaaaak jugak cam black canyon punya. nanti saya cuba lagi sampai menjadi ye. my food lab, wait for me.:)

CHILLI CRAB

This is one of the earliest recipes I dabled with in our early marriage life..
got in from the STAR newspaper, always kumpul recipes from it until now...

INGREDIENTS
1/2 kg crabs
8 fresh red chillies
5 cloves garlic
3 tbsp cooking oil
coriander for garnishing
3 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp of sugar or according to taste
salt, according to taste
1 tbsp soya bean paste(never use it, my hubby is a big no no with tauchu)
1 cup water
1 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp lime juice
coriander leaves



Method:
1.Pound garlic & chillies. Heat the oil in a wok & fry the garlic and chillies till fragrant. Then add in crab and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
2. Mix the tomato ketchup, salt, sugar, soya bean paste, water and cornflour to make the sauce. Add the sauce mixture to the crabs, and stir well for 2 minutes. Cover the wok and and simmer over high heat for 5-7 minutes till the crabs' shell turned bright red.
3.Remove cover, and add in the lime juice. Garnish with coriander leaves and chilli slices.



I personally find that the timing given is crucial. It will make sure the crab just cook and juicy. But kalau tak nak ikut, sukati le labu. I tried the recipes with prawns, sodap jugak. And ada friend (K.Nor) bagi rahsia chilli crab dia by putting serai and santan. I'm sure it is fantastic as well. So, lepas nih pi la tangkap ketam, I personally like ketam nipah, sebab saya kurang allergic kalau saya makan ketam nipah. But try with other type ketam pun sodap.

LIL'S FAVORITE CHEESECAKE

tuan recipe nih kata it's impossible to fail trying her recipe.. well i faired well my 1st time trying, but through my 3rd attempt, bila dah tak poyo ikut steps dia, my cheesecake dah tak segebu 1st try.. moralnya, sila ikut recipe sepenuh hati ye che puan semua..:).. gambar ni, recipe serupa different topping.. tu saja



INGREDIENTS:
450g cream cheese, room temperature
115g unsalted butter softened
1 tbsp vanilla extract
200g castor sugar
70g corflour
7 large eggs
450ml whipping cream
60ml lemon juice

1. Preheat oven to 180'c. Prepare a 25X25X8cm square tin by lining and greasing the sides with butter. Wrap the outside with aluminium foil. You will need another large pan to bake this bain-marie style.
2. Using a cake mixer, beat the cheese & butter on medium speed until soft & smooth. Scrape down the sides. Add vanilla, sugar & cornflour. Mix until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Lower the speed & add the cream. Stop the machine, scrape down the sides & then mix mix again. This is to ensure the mixture is smooth & thin. Add in the lemon juice and mix well.
4. Pour mixture into the prepared pan. Place this pan into the larger pan and put both into the preheated oven. Pour hot water -about 3cm deep-into the large pan. Bake for 30 minutes, increase the to 190'c and bakefor a further 30 minutes, until the top is a pale golden brown.
5.Remove pans from oven & take the smaller pan out of the larger pan. Allow to stand until cool.
6. Run knife around the inside of the pan. Cover the cake tin with a large plate or serving tray, flip over and the cake should slide from the tin to the plate. Refrigerate the cake for at least 6 hours before serving.

notes - 1.for more intense lemon flavour, add 1 tbsp of finely grated lemon rind into the mix
2. to jazz up the cake before serving, puree some fruits- strawberry. mangos or kiwifruit- and apply thinly

cerita ni semua bermula bilamana suami saya kena tahan dengan JPJ kat stesen jambatan timbang telok panglima garang. suami saya berkereta poyo sikit, suma tukar.. enjin angkut luar tukar evo, poyo tuh.. body kits suma tukar, evo gak kononnya.. paling mahal, body wira suamiku telah dibuat sunroof.. poyo tuh ..

masa hubby nak beli keta tuh, atiey saya tidak le gumbira mana.. sebab saya tau kreta dia boleh layan laju beb, kang dia corner baring ke, willie ke, kang ke jatuh sapa yang susah?.. ahkak jugak..tpi kerana dia suami yang baik, bertanggungjawab dan sentiasa mendulukan kebajikan keluarga, saya rasa tak wajar pulak saya nak tahan2 keinginan dia berkereta berubah rupa, ala, cakap tuh ala2 keta knight rider lak, mana boleh tukar pun..

bila dah kena tahan JPJ tuh, korang paham le kategori kereta dia nih, ketegori ubah mlampau.. masa JPJ tahan tuh, kononnya pasal sunroof tuh aje le, tpi kalau dah masuk, pepaham le, incline mende lain akan ditengok sama ye dak.. mm, ari tuh, minggu sudah2 le.. dah pi bawak JPJ, kira dah settle le.. JPJ suruh lak bawak PUSPAKOM.. nak kasi check lebih sikit.. kat sini le buaya2 tempatan duduk, nak ngap duit haram dr rakyat malaysia.. yang anto kereta hubby tuh abang ipar sebab dia le mekanik yg tukang tukar suma kat keter tuh, dulu keta tuh keta dia..bila time checking tuh sampai, cuba teka berapa ramai orang yg nak 'TOLONG' CHECK KRETA NIH?.. TEKA BEB CEPAT TEKA..KALAU KORANG TEKA 5, SALAH.. TAK CUKUP TUH, BUKAN SIKIT.. TARIK TINGGI SIKIT... 7.. TAK CUKUP LAGI.. UII, BRANI LU TEKA 10.. HAHAHA, MALANGNYA STILL TAK CUKUP...ANGKAT LAGI, ANGKAT LAGI.. 15, SALAH BEB..JAWAPANNYA ADALAH 20 ORANG TAK GUNA DALAM PUSPAKOM TUH TURUN NAK CHECK KERETA.. silalah percaya, abang ipar aku kata ketar lutut dia tengok.. sumer tuh muka nak makan duit bawah meja le..

nasib baik night before abang ipar dah pasang runner tolong nego, masa 20 melaun tuh datang, runner lum sampai, cuba korang teka berapa diorang nak.. haaaaa.. teka aaa.. mana tau puspakom bagi duit kot ke.. diorang nak rm750.. nak kenduri mentekedarah sesama 20 orang tuh le.. gila.. duit carik bukan senang, lelagi le tahun ekonomi tak menentu nih..diorang nih apo menusia ke kot..tak guna betul.. pas runner sampai, dia tolon ayat sikit, last2 menusia 20 orang nih settle for 250 untuk kasik keta nih green lite on the road..BAGEROOOOO..tara guna punya menusia..

moral citer aku nih?.. mm, jgn le ikut tabi'i laki aku yg berkereta ubah segala, haha, jgn mare hubby dude, citer aje, kena bagi moral kan..
kalau nak beli gak , kalau nampak JPJ, silalah lalu jln kebun ke, masuk parit nyorok ke.. buat trowong bawah tanah ke, jangan ever kantoikan keta lu, maka sure akan terjadi kejadian kereta kami kat korang juga..:)

I'm not that of a morning person.. sejak anak2 skolah nih, maka diary hidup aku pun bermula early le, sbelum nih,maklumlah tak kerja, sesuka aku le nak start my day at what time kan, hahaha.. since last year, i woke rather early sebab nak siapkan anak2..:)..kengkadang bila baju tak settle, kenalah gosok, buat air, ready2 anak2 nak breakfast pedahal bagi makan cereal aje, hahaha..

oleh itu, kalau saya terajin dipagi hari, rasa bangga membuak-buak dalam dada nih, hahaha.. dalam minggu nih telah dua ari saya rajin, maka nak citer le kat sini, ok apa kongsi rasa bangga nih.. dapat le saya baiki diri, hehehe..

ari tuh, saya siapkan breakkie for hubby, pita bread with chicken filling and basil, cucumber and tomatoes.. ari nih lak saya siapkan dia laksa johor tuk bawak kerja.. itu aje ceritanya.. hahahaha.. lepas nih saya tempelkan gambar makanan tuh yeeee..

mm, lately saya rasa possible gak kalau saya siapkan food early in the morning, eleh, orang lain tak rasa early pun, krana aku jarang buat dan dan le early, hahaha..

CILI PADI PURPLE


balik ke kampung end of last month, seperti biasa mestile pi pasar sungai besar.. saje, carik ikan, udang and sotong.. slalunya beli ngan pemborong yg main longgok kat blakang pasar, murah sikit regenya..

tapi itu bukan ceritanya hari nih.. saya nak cerita tatkala saya berjalan..(ewah, cam bahasa melayu lama lak gamaknya).. saya nampak le makcik yang saya memang slalu beli cili padi dengan(amik kau, bahasa melayu tonggang terbalik), ada lak cili padi purple ari nih.. fuiyooo, wa cakap lu, terpegun gak aku tengok, tanya le lak rasa apa lak makcik cili nih.. yang mahal dia lak boleh kata tak tau, tak ke rock tuh namanya.. aku lak ngan semangat ingin tahu yang tinggi pun beli ajelah, maleh lak nak pikir, cuba dulu baru tau.. bawak balik umah ibu mertuaku, dia lak kata, cili jambang kot ke nih dalia.. hehe, aku pun blur, apoko.. rupanya dia nak kata cili pokok bunga.. adeh, camno pulak le tuh..

tapi bila bawak balik ke klang, aku guna, sodap jo, pedas gila lagi, kira okay le tuh, memenuhi tabi'i cili, hehehe.. maka kengkawan, aku iktiraf cili color purple is edible yeee.. bon appetite..

My TV obsession...

Ari tuh aku tengok 'Goda' kat TV8, I always love the series by lina tan. Cool stuffs and malaysian urban-kind-of-thing. Not that i'm that 'bandar', yet tokleh le associate ngan cita melayu mlampau nih. esp, the mistic kind of stories. Sungguh tak jalan ngan aku, one thing, I'm such a sissy and coward to watch, haha, secondly, most of the time cita mlayu nih too basi, kisah berulang and errr, tak feel le aku tengok. and lastly, laki aku laagilah jaki tengok cita melayu sampai kengkadang aku pun naik pelik, teruk no ke?, hehehe

Then, what do I love to watch? Masa kecik dulu cita favorite aku were, Fall Guy, Matlock, Mission Impossible, Murder She Wrote, Remington Steele, Depsey and Makepeace, and few lagi yg aku dah ingat lupa. Skang nih ake graduate lak tengok CSI franchise, Criminal Mind, NCIS, Reaper, My Name is Earl, and many reality tv, hahaha, YES, I am reality tv junkie.. Project Runaway, American Next Top Model, Survivor and Amazing Race, hehehe.. I know, I know, don't watch malay teleseries, but reality tv. My obsession, blame it on me. hahaha.

My 10 wishes/things to do with hubby..

When I were younger, I used to have my little 10 things. Now I think I should start a new few so that when the chances come, I'll get to grab it and tick things off. Sort of 'My name is Earl' thingy.( by the way, I love the series and totally believe in karma, so beware offenders, before yer bad karma catches on you)

10 things i need to do with hubby (before we grow too old and cranky, hehe)

1. Learn to slow dance, and had a nite of a very, very, very romantic you-and-me-only. But any songs with more rythm also ok. Maybe a swing, I would love to twirl, and twirl and twirl.

2. I watch this movie 'the sisterhood of a travelling pants' and love seeing greece, and hope one day get to spend a vacation with him there, or at least bali, haha, talking 'bout downgrading my dreams. Anyway going anywhere really far would sum my second list. I know his my best travelling partner.

3. Get to attend our daughters graduation day, wedding day, pretty much all their importants days together, still holding hands, and being proud and accomplished.

4. Learn art together, maybe when he has retired. maybe we can do a painting together. I'm the painter and he's the naked model, haha, joking.

5. Dissappear. just me and him. not even the kids will know where we will be. maybe we'll just inform them that we will do the dissappering act or there will be a police report searchig for old cranky couple, hehe, that would be weird and killing the experiance. definately when he has retire. not possible to do now.

6.I have always wanted to sing to my hubby. I'll strum a guitar and sing a song. Song currantly I wanna sing is Colbie Callait- Realize. The problems are that I'm tone deft, doesn't know how to play guitar and always chopping and adding weird lyrics as i sing. So I have a loooooooooong way to go la.. learn to sing, play guitar and memorize my lyrics. One day hubby dude, one day.

7. When we were dating, we used to walk and used mini buses to scale KL. Hubby always said that he misses all that. So I guess it would be nostalgic to do it all again. We'll hike a bus from Shah Alam to Klang bus station. Walk to Pasar Budaya, fetch a mini bus( it might not exist anymore, 'sight') from Lebuh Ampang and go to Lot 10, BB Plaza, Sungai Wang and Star Hill. Or maybe we'll walk to Hentian Bus Pudu from Pasar Budaya because I used to get my bus there to balik kampung, and on the way we'll stop at McDonald Jln Silang. We used to lepak there, writing simple cards, wrapping our surprise presents to each other, gaduh, God-knows all sorts of things we managed to do there. Or we can go to Sinar Kota, going to East India and Reject Shop, those are his favourites shops back then, I really hope the shops still there. This will be my number 7.

8. What to do? There's only 3 left to get to my number 10. I know what number 10 would be. So, there's 2 more to go. Start a business with hubby. simple business, big busines, I don't care. As long we get to do something together and not be pissed to each other. maybe sell goreng pisang under tree at taman, hahaha, maybe, just maybe one day,. bila time is nothing as limited as now. Not to make money, just to enjoy each other company.

9. Gain financial freedom. so that we can spend diligently yet not to have to think the bank balance. baru le boleh enjoy hari tua without worries. bila nak vacation, we can go, bila nak treat at a fine restaurant, we can afford, things like that, once a while.

10. Finally, well, this a hope, it's always Allah's work at the end of the day. I hope in my death bed, my hubby will hold my hands and accompany me in my last journey. I want to see his face before i closed my eyes. I hope to mati in iman, i hope he'll guide me with the syahadah. i hope to live my life the fullest with him, i hope there's no regrets, i hope i give my best to him, i hope we'll still be smiling to each other and i hope there's nothing left to tell.

that's my 10 things for now.

SAGO WITH PALM SUGAR SYRUP AND COCONUT CREAM


sago pudding
2 liter ayaq + 200gm(1 cup) sago pearls

Didihkan ayaq. masukkan sago. Kacau dan biar mendidih perlahan selama 10mins. Tutup api dan tutup priuk. Biarkan lagi selama 10mins. Toskan sago dan masukkan ke dalam acuan (bilas acuan dulu biar mudah tanggalkan sago kemudian). Sejukkan.


Palm sugar syrup
200gm gula melaka + 150ml (2/3cup) ayaq


Didihkan bersama gula melaka dan air hingga gula larut. Biarkannya memekat. Gunakan bila sudah sejuk.

Coconut sauce
200ml (2/3cup) santan pekat + 1/2 teaspoon salt.

Didihkan santan, matikan api dan stir the salt into the coconut milk.

Nak hidang? - unmould sago pudding on a nice plate, top with gula melaka syrup and santan tadi.. bon appetite..

CHOCOLATE VOLCANOES



The ingredients
5 eggs
5 egg yolks
4 tbsp flour
180g castor sugar
250g cooking chocolate
250gm cold butter


how to..
1. Butter and flour 2inch round moulds(kalau tak de, any mould kecik and tahan api will do, redah aje) and set aside until needed. (xtra butter and flour, bukan from the ingredients tau).

2. In a bain-marie, melt choccolate(readily chopped) and butter(readily cubed). Remove from heat and stir in sifted flour and sugar. (masa buat tuh, I didn't use all sugar sebab i don't like it to be too sweet, so i guess rasa2 sambil letak sebab sometimes ada cooking choc yang dah added sugar and sometimes orang just don't like it too sweet.

3. Let the mixture cool slightly before adding in the eggs and yolks.

4. Mix quickly and transfer mixture into a jug for easy pouring into the prepared moulds.

5. Fill moulds to the rim(kalau mould tuh sedikit besar and korang rasa fill to the rim, will make it too big, jgn le isi penuh, kay) and chill in the fridge till set.

6. To bake the cake, preheat oven to 200'c and bake in the centre of the oven for 10 mins or until top has dried up and sides have risen from the rim to about 1/2cm.(mine took longer than 10mins, maybe because my moulds bigger).

7. Invert cake and unmould to serve immediately with a scoop of ice cream. nyum nyum.

p/s-choc. volcanoes nih a serious indulging and sinfull dessert, tengok le amount eggs and butternye, hehe..

auntie lina's chicken & mushroom bread pie



bila dah siap and ready to be eaten.


bebahan:

1/2 honey roested chicken, deboned & cut into bite-sized pieces
1 large yellow onion, chopped/diced
1 can cream of chicken mushroom(laa, smalam aku pakai mushroom cream je..ngehehe)
100 g fresh abalone mushrooms
100g fresh button or shiitake mushroom(alaa, kalau malas pakai aje button mushroom tin tuh)
5 slices buttered white bread or any crusty bread.

cara memasak:
1. preheat oven to 200'c. litely grease baking tin/casserole dish w butter.
2. heat butter in a pan.fry onions until soft n' fragrant. Add in mushrooms to fry for 3mins. Next put in the chicken, followed by the chicken soup. stir and bring to boil, reduce heat & let it simmer for about 3mins. adjust seasoning n pour mixture into prepared tin.
3. arrange bread, buttered side facing upwards, on d' mixture and bake until bread is brown & crispy. serve hot on its own.

tips
- u can substitute roast chicken w raw chicken pieces-put them before adding the mushrooms. suggest using thigh meat for juicier result.
- pasta can be added for a more filling meal.
- using crusty bread slices like french baguette or farmer's bread will result in a more fragrant pie.
- feel free to bend the recipes to yer liking.. hihi.. gud luck trying.
